1. Add supplier
Supplier play an important role in any supply chain. They are the ones that provide information on the process used in producing a product. 2. Setup stores and warehouses
To manage the processing and communication for orders from your sales channels you must set up your online and retail stores on Green Story platform. This will enable you to link your products to Green Story internal product for which the footprint will be calculated. You can read more about how to add stores in this article
Warehouse represents in-between distribution centres or final facilities from where products are shipped to consumers. Warehouse location is essential to calculate the average footprint of a product from cradle to gate or cradle to grave and to calculate the real-time footprint/offset of shipping items to consumers. 3. Create material library
Material is what goes into making a component or a product. It can either be a single material or composition of multiple materials. Creating material library early on will help to customize the components in the supply chain. You can read more about how to add materials in this article
4. Upload product
This is where you add your products in the system. You can either add them in bulk or can individually upload them. In either case, as soon as your product gets uploaded to the system a template supply chain build on global averages gets attached to your products. You can now begin customizing your supply chain by identifying actual suppliers, raw material, warehouses, manufacturing processes etc. When you are ready, calculate the footprint for your product. 5. Connect product from store
Next step is to ensure the products you are selling on your sales channels are linked to Green Story internal product. This will allow you to manage and track product for which the footprint is being calculated. You can read more about how to link products in this article
